Tired of school, homework and your own chaos? We have nine school hacks for you to help you get through the day.

Get rid of ink or pen stains on clothes

Don't worry if you ever get ink smeared on yourself. The well-known ink killer or ink eraser helps against this. There's a good hack for pen stains too. Just use antibacterial hand gel that you can get at any drug store. You can put this on the stain, rub it in briefly and dab it with a paper towel. The pen stain has already disappeared.

Text work: How do you still say ...?

You have to write an essay, a report or a scientific text. However, instead of focusing on the content, you get stuck at the beginning. You are desperate to think about how to introduce the sentence without using “then” or “after” each time. Don't worry, there is a suitable hack! We have developed an attachment wheel in which you will always find the nicest sentence start.

With fun to learning success - that's how it's done

Mum is right: it is important to drink enough

Can't get out of bed in the morning? Have a glass of water. Can't concentrate at noon? Have a glass of water. Do you want to be fit in the afternoon to meet up with your friends? Have a glass of water. Water helps you increase your metabolism, flush out toxins, and help you focus. Still water is best.

Learn vocabulary with Post-its

Learning vocabulary can be frustrating if you don't use the method that you enjoy. Try using post-its. Stick notes with vocabulary all over your room, in the kitchen, and on the bathroom mirror. This is how you will be confronted with them while doing everyday things. Then it doesn't feel like learning anymore.

Take a picture of the timetable

Are you one of those people who can't remember their schedule? Take a picture of the overview with your smartphone and save it as a lock screen on your mobile phone. A quick glance at the cell phone is all it takes to know where to go for the next lesson.

Obtaining information for the next presentation, but not in the mood for the library?

Then search Google Scholar for the scientific literature you need. With this project, Google offers the largest online library for scientific specialist literature. Not only very classy, but also practical for you.

Movement, movement, movement

Another hack for better concentration: If you can't concentrate and would rather hang around on the couch than study. Be stronger than the couch! Get into your workout clothes and do a lap around the block. Because sport increases concentration. As you exercise, your body releases happiness hormones and reduces stress. In addition, the oxygen conversion of your blood is stimulated.

Routine helps

A calendar - analog or digital - and a to-do list will help you to organize yourself better. So you can enter all important dates. If you take an hour each day to do homework or review what you have learned, you will find it much easier to prepare for the exam. You can also study better at an organized desk. Make sure that the table and chair are at the right height.

When the books get wet

The mishap happened quickly: the water bottle leaks in the backpack and all the books get wet. Try to "shake out" as much water as you can and gently wipe other liquids out of the book with water. Then blot the affected sides with paper towels or a towel. Then always put a dry paper towel or handkerchief between the pages and check at short intervals whether the absorbent cloth is already full of water. Then switch it out. Here's another hack for at home: You can use an iron on the lowest setting. Place a kitchen towel between the iron and the wet side and one under the side. Gently run the iron over the side. This way the water evaporates from the wet book page faster. Make sure that the kitchen towel does not slip.
